THE TFI FRENCH TEST

TFI™ Test: French Language Proficiency for Global Communication

The TFI™ test measures French proficiency for individuals whose native language is not French. It assesses everyday French language skills needed in business and academic environments, focusing on Listening and Reading comprehension.

Who Uses the TFI Test and Why:

  • Businesses and Governments: Use the test for recruitment, promotions, training, and progress monitoring where French proficiency is required.

  • Educational Institutions: Use it for student placement, progress tracking, and measuring language proficiency.

Test Details:

  • Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours

    • Listening: 42 minutes (3 sections: Questions, Dialogues, Conversations)

    • Reading: 68 minutes (3 sections: Text Completion, Incomplete Sentences, Single Passages)

  • Format: Paper-based, multiple-choice with 90 questions per section.

  • No specialized knowledge required beyond everyday work-related French.
